Paper Architecture: Art Déco and the Book
This event was a smashing success thanks to Marilyn Berger, Head Librarian of the Blackader- Lauderman Art and Architecture Library, and Irena Murray, Chief Curator of Rare Books and Special Collections and of the John Bland Canadian Architecture Collection at McGill University and the Art and Architecture Library and their staff.
Irena Murray’s power point presentation gave us a fascinating insight into book design during the 1920s and 1930s.
After the presentation and viewing the outstanding collection of Art Deco books and posters, which will be on display until January, the lively discussions continued at the vin d’honneur.
Once again we would like to give many thanks to our members Marilyn Berger and Irena Murray for making this very special event possible.
