A comparison of the spectacular and mysterious Art Deco painting Les Perruches (Lovebirds) by Jean Dupas (1882-1964, now part of the Xavier Roberts Collection, first shown at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes of 1925 in Paris, to Sandro Botticelli’s celebrated Primavera (ca.1480) in the Uffizzi Gallery in Florence
