With Jean-Yves Bourdages we toured the late Art Deco Italian community centre designed in 1936 by Patsy Colangelo, and learned of its fascinating history. We were fortunate to experience its monumental interior before its planned renovations. At the reception we were welcomed by Pasquale L. Iacobacci, project director of Casa d’Italia, who will gave us an historical perspective on the Casa d’Italia and its future, and great perspective of the Italian community. On display were archival photographs.
